Rachel Svoyskiy

Research Interests:

Rachel's research interests center on the intersection of ethics, innovation, and policy in global contexts. She is particularly fascinated by how emerging technologies—especially in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology—shape societal and regulatory frameworks. Rachel aims to explore how ethical considerations influence investment decisions, the role of governance in fostering responsible innovation, and the societal impact of dual-use technologies. Through this lens, she seeks to analyze the balance between technological advancement and societal well-being, particularly in regions like Israel, which is renowned for its entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Bio

Rachel is a junior at Claremont McKenna majoring in Economics and Government with a sequence in Human Rights, Genocide, and Holocaust Studies. Originally from New York City, she has mastered the art of dodging slow walkers and finding the best bagels (both essential skills). Russian was Rachel's first language, and she is fluent in both Russian and Hebrew. In her free time, she enjoys watching hockey, re-watching episodes of How I Met Your Mother, and experimenting with baking, though she claims her results are often more creative than expected. Rachel is excited to contribute to the Claremont Law & Business Review's mission!
