Miguel Barrios

Research Interests:

Miguel is largely interested in understanding legislative action as it pertains to addressing the roots of problems, as opposed to only addressing the problems directly. Legislative trends may appear isolated, but the real change appears when you take into account a composite picture of what those trends are guiding the country towards. Laws often become customs and customs become our culture.

Bio

Miguel is a sophomore studying Public Policy and Economics. Having grown up in Tucson, Arizona, he is a big fan of hiking. He will take any chance he gets to go on a nice, relaxing hike surrounded by mountains and peaceful nature. Some fun facts about him are that he tries his best to only drink room temperature water, and his favorite animals are buffaloes (though he's only ever seen them in person once). In regards to the Claremont Law & Business Review, he hopes to research the legislative trends of the Trump administration, exploring the drastic changes and shifts he promises to make, and how those changes will effect Americans across the country.
