Research Interests:
Michelle is deeply interested in researching public policy and understanding its connections to real-world challenges, particularly how policy decisions shape society and address pressing issues. She is also passionate about philosophy, specifically exploring how its principles can be applied to analyze and resolve complex political and social questions. Additionally, Michelle is interested in legal studies, particularly the role of law in shaping public policy and advancing justice.
Bio
Michelle is a freshman at Claremont McKenna College pursuing a dual major in Public Policy and Philosophy. Her passion for student advocacy is reflected in her work with non-profits like the California Association of Student Councils (CASC) and GENup. She played a vital role in amplifying student voices in California's education reform efforts. Over three years, she helped guide the development of bill proposals on education reform, many of which were presented before the California Senate and Assembly Education Committees. On campus, Michelle serves as a student assistant at the Mgrublian Center for Human Rights and is actively involved in APAM. In her free time, she enjoys portrait sketching, photography, traveling, and connecting with new people.
