Case Sakamoto

Research Interests:

Case is broadly interested in economics and is excited to apply what he has learned to tangible business applications. Recently, that has manifested in learning how statistics can be applied to evaluate and predict business outcomes. Furthermore, he is interested in deciphering the moral implications of business decisions, a topic he has researched with faculty and which has culminated in a thesis paper on environmental, social, and governance (ESG). After college, he hopes to work in an economic or management consulting field.

Bio

Case is a sophomore at Claremont McKenna College pursuing a dual degree in Economics and Philosophy. He was born in San Francisco, raised in Tokyo, and attended high school in Wallingford, Connecticut before coming to Claremont. Here at CMC, Case is a fellow at the Randall Lewis Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, a consultant at Graphite Group, and a member of the Claremont Men's Lacrosse Team. In his free time, Case enjoys outdoor activities like rock climbing, hiking, and backpacking, in addition to singing and mixing songs.
